WHAT: 'Let Dreamers Work!'
WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017 12:00 p.m.
WHERE: State Courthouse, 400 Lomas Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, N.M., 87102

Initiated by attorney William McBride, the campaign will objectively promote and enlighten the American public on the positive economic benefits provided by the nearly 800,000 young people - 'Dreamers' - who call the United States 'home.' McBride's message offers a common sense blueprint to DACA.

DID YOU KNOW:

- Undocumented youth who are enrolled in or eligible for DACA pay roughly $2 billion each year in state and local taxes?

- Young people eligible for DACA pay 8.9% of their income to state and local taxes?

- By continuing DACA and retaining those enrolled in the program, state and local revenues would increase by $425 million, which would bring the total tax contributions to $2.45 billion?

- By creating a path to citizenship for DACA-eligible youth, state and local tax payments would increase to $505 million, resulting in a grand total of $2.53 billion a year in tax payments?

- DACA yields the most tax revenue in the five largest immigrant-receiving states: California, Florida, Texas, New York and Illinois? Each of these states would lose a significant amount of tax revenue if DACA was rescinded.

- By ending DACA we would decrease state and local revenues by roughly $800 million per year?
