The Sturge-Weber Foundation is holding its 10th International Conference in Harrisburg/Hershey, Pennslyvania on July 21-24, 2005.
The Foundation, which was incorporated in 1987, serves the needs of individuals and their families who have Sturge-Weber syndrome, a medical condition characterized chiefly by facial port wine stain, glaucoma and seizure disorder; Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome and Port Wine Stain. Sturge-Weber syndrome is one of several so-called "orphan diseases" which are difficult to document because it has an unknown cause and/or unknown incidence. In other words, not enough people have these conditions, making it difficult for the ones who do have them to find information, treatment and networking support.
Information about the conference and about the Sturge-Weber Foundation can be obtained at www.sturge-weber.com or by calling 800 627-5482.
