COLUMBUS, Ohio/EWORLDWIRE/Nov. 17, 2005 --- When the Business Builders Club of Ohio State University invited Dr. Andrei Aleinikov, "The Most Creative Man in the World" and president of the International Academy of Genius to Columbus, they did not know what the final result would be. "When asked to create a new business, students mostly think about a new hamburger shop at the corner, so the mission of the club is to wake up the business genius," said Milos Citakovic, vice president of events. The surprising result of this awakening, in addition to participants' joyful inspiration and standing ovation for the guest, was the creation of 16 multi-million dollar businesses.
Upon the workshop's conclusion, excited winners also received signed copies of Aleinikov's best seller MegaCreativity: Five Steps to Thinking Like a Genius.
Dr. S. Michael Camp, academic director of the Center for Entrepreneurship at Fisher College of Business, Ohio State University, said the Business Builders Club initiative is a major step towards the creation of a minor in entrepreneurship at the university.
Dr. Aleinikov, the 2005 recipient of the George Washington Honor Medal, the highest national award in the teacher/ administrator category from the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, Pa., noted that the state of Ohio is leading the nation in interest to genius education and genius thinking.
Major steps in the state of Ohio include:
- Procter & Gamble used Dr. Aleinikov for teaching MegaCreativity to employees.
- University of Cincinnati hosted a workshop on Genius in Every Child.
- Genius Education Methodology (GEM) made Franklin Jr. High School of Franklin, Ohio the first school in the world with an entire student body of published authors.
- F&W Publications of Cincinnati, one of the country's largest publishers, published Dr. Aleinikov's book.
- Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware, Ohio hosted Dr. Aleinikov as a Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellow who spoke after Howard Gardner in the Sagan National Colloquium Lecture Series and then for a week inspired students at classes.
