CARY, N.C./EWORLDWIRE/May 11, 2006 --- Claes Nobel, senior member of the Nobel Prize family and founder of The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS), is awarding National Scholar Award college scholarships to two Cary, North Carolina, high school students, Emeka Anen, and Brennan Eberle. Nobel will present scholarships and address NSHSS members at a special recognition ceremony on May 13, 2006, in the U.S. Dirksen Senate Building in Washington, D.C. NSHSS will honor outstanding students and educators during the program. NSHSS scholarship recipients are selected on the basic of excellence in academics, leadership and community service.

Anen is a senior at Southeast Raleigh High School, and Eberle is a senior at Green Hope High School. They were selected from over 10,000 applicants for these awards. Nobel stated, "I am deeply honored to recognize both Anen and Brennan as two of our most outstanding students. I am confident that these young scholars will someday have a major impact on our global landscape."
