LATHAM, N.Y./EWORLDWIRE/May 12, 2006 --- Claes Nobel, senior member of the Nobel Prize family and founder of The National Society of High School Scholars(NSHSS), is awarding a National Scholar Award college scholarship to New York high school student Prateek Kumar.

Nobel will present scholarships and address NSHSS members at a special recognition ceremony on May 13, 2006, in the U.S. Dirksen Senate Building in Washington, D.C. NSHSS will honor outstanding students and educators during the program. Kumar, a junior at Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass., was selected for the award from over 10,000 applicants. He was the only high school junior selected for this prestigious award this year.
