The ISI Frontier sets a new standard for industrial SCBAs by combining high-performance features with simplicity of use and maintenance - all at the lowest cost of ownership of any available SCBA. The new SCBA provides a protection factor of 10,000 to one and uses ISI's patented, positive-pressure, compact demand valve (CDV) to deliver high air-flow rates far exceeding NIOSH standards and significantly reducing breathing resistance. A shoulder-mounted, low-pressure alarm is standard equipment.
Available with either a comfortable, snug-fitting facemask or a positive-pressure hood (for users with facial hair or eyeglasses), the ISI Frontier's ergonomic design also features a lightweight backframe with built-in carry handles.
With very few moving parts, the rugged ISI Frontier is simple to maintain and may be serviced easily in the field. It can accommodate cylinders rated at 2216 or 4500 psi, with cylinder durations of 30, 45 or 60 minutes.
Optional equipment includes an airline attachment for extending use with supplied air, a manual bypass for emergency egress, a "buddy breather" for sharing air supply, lightweight cylinders, and a carry case.
