TEMECULA, Calif./EWORLDWIRE/Sep. 28, 2006 --- Wiens Family Cellars, one of Temecula's newest wineries, announces the Grand Opening of its winery, located at 35055 Via Del Ponte, just off of Rancho California Road, in Temecula.

Grand Opening festivities will involve wine tasting of current Wiens Family Cellars wines including their award winning "Big Reds" and famous "White Port." Guests may also enjoy paired appetizers in the Tasting Room, live music in an outdoor tasting bar and participate in tours of the wine production facilities.

Attendees will also get a sneak peak at the new, fully enclosed Event Pavilion, perfect for weddings and private parties of up to 200 guests. Guests may tour the romantic Barrel Room, adjacent to the tasting room, ideal for smaller dinner parties and special events.

The grand Tasting Room, surrounded by seven acres of Estate Chardonnay vineyards, will be open to the public for wine tasting everyday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The winery is owned by four of the Wiens brothers and supported by 46 members of the extended family. What began as a family hobby in the early days has turned into a successful family business. The new facility was designed by George, the eldest Wiens brother and architect. Winery financials and facility engineering are provided by brothers Jeff and Dave Wiens. Doug Wiens is the chief winemaker and viticulturist for Wiens Family Cellars.

Located among the rolling hills and plateaus of Temecula Valley, Wiens Family Cellars is a short drive from Los Angeles and San Diego. The winery produces a broad range of California, gold-medal winning, estate-farmed varietal wines. The Wiens family is building a successful, family owned and farmed wine business.
