A special dinner honoring Dr. Dover will be held during the annual American Academy of Dermatology meeting on February 2, 2007 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Washington, DC. This popular annual event typically draws more than 300 fellow physicians and medical device company executives from around the world, and last year raised more than $120,000 for the Foundation.

About Dr. Dover

Jeffrey Dover, MD, FRCPC is a recognized leader in the field of dermatology, laser medicine and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Dover graduated as the silver medalist, Magna cum Laude with an M. D. degree from the University of Ottawa. His dermatology training was received at the University of Toronto followed by research fellowships at St. John’s Hospital for Diseases of the Skin at the University of London in London, England, and a two-year photomedicine fellowship at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Dover is a former Associate Professor of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School, was Chief of Dermatology at the New England Deaconess Hospital for over ten years and also Associate Chairman of Dermatology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology, at Yale University School of Medicine, and Adjunct Professor of Medicine (Dermatology) at Dartmouth Medical School. Dr. Dover is a director of SkinCare Physicians in Chestnut Hill, MA. His research interests are lasers in medicine, cosmetic surgery and medical education.

Dr. Dover is the author of over 300 scientific publications. He has co-authored and edited 25 textbooks. Dr. Dover is very excited about a new 13 book series, Procedures in Cosmetic Dermatology, for which he is the series editor. Dr. Dover is founding editor of Journal Watch for Dermatology, produced by the publishers of the New England Journal of Medicine.
