Media Advisory

FAIRFAX, Va./EWORLDWIRE/Feb. 9, 2007 --- AFCEA International has entered into a strategic partnership with Trezza Media Group, The Flyzik Group and Federal News Radio to host a live Federal Executive Forum during its sixth annual Homeland Security Conference held February 28th - March 1st at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.

The conference, which will feature distinguished Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Executives including The Honorable Michael Chertoff (invited), George Foresman, Scott Charbo (invited), Robert Zitz, Dr. Carter Morris and others, will host a live Federal Executive Forum on the topic of Border Fusion. The panel will include Robert Mocny, Frank Moss, Kathleen Kraninger, Luke McCormack (invited) and Lorraine Leithiser and will be moderated by Jim Flyzik, former Technology Advisor to former DHS Secretary Tom Ridge. The program is scheduled at 2:00pm-3:30pm on Wednesday, February 28th.

The conference schedule that day also includes a live panel discussion with Charles Allen, Chief Intelligence Officer, DHS and The Honorable Dale Meyerrose, CIO, Office of the Director of National Intelligence, a ground-breaking summit which encapsulates the type of information and intelligence fusion that is the focus of the entire conference.

"I'm honored to bring our Federal Executive Forums to AFCEA's Homeland Security Conference because our goal in creating the Forums was to provide an opportunity for government and industry to come together and discusstopics critical to both parties," said Tom Trezza, Jr., President of Trezza Media Group, and producer of the Federal Executive Forum. "AFCEA shares that goal, and its conference is a natural fit for the Federal Executive Forum."

The Federal Executive Forum is a monthly series of roundtable conversations on technology and business mission issues affecting federal government agencies. Federal government executives, industry experts, government contractors and leading technology companies use the Forums to discuss best practices and ways to solve government's business and technology challenges. The one-hour discussions are broadcast in both audio and video formats on WFED1050 AM and FederalNewsRadio.com.

AFCEA's 2007 Homeland Security Conference theme is "Intelligence and Information Fusion. Beyond Sharing". The Conference will address the 2007 priorities of the DHS, the enabling and effectiveness of information fusion across statelocal, federal and private sectors, and Cyber and Border Fusion -how key elements of intelligence and large scale information fusion can be leveraged to secure borders and optimize operations. The Conference attracts government and industry IT professionals, CIO's, and program managers involved in operations, policy and procurement issues.

"Our mission is to raise dialogue with government and industry to help solve challenges. One of the biggest challenges is securing our homeland, and the concept of "fusion" - the synthesis of information, intelligence, and government and industry entities - is key to meeting those challenges," said Jim Flyzik, President of the Flyzik Group and moderator of the Federal Executive Forums.

"We're delighted to host the Federal Executive Forum at our annual conference," said Becky Nolan, Executive Vice President of AFCEA International. "AFCEA's goal is to encourage and foster discussion and education on issues of importance to not only government and industry, but ultimately, to citizens as well. AFCEA works to expand that dialogue, and the Federal Executive Forum shares that mission with us."
