Sycamore Professional donates generators to affected church

NORMAN, Okla./EWORLDWIRE/Dec. 12, 2007 --- Following a deadly ice storm that has pounded the Midwest, Louisville manufacturer, Sycamore Professional, is donating portable home generators to Crossings Community Church in Oklahoma City as a part of its Giving Tree Project. These donations will be delivered to residents in immediate need of electrical power while the region waits out deadly ice storms.

This week's ice storm has resulted in 18 deaths in Oklahoma and Missouri, according the Associated Press. Over 500,000 Oklahoma customers lost power when electrical lines broke under the weight of heavy ice and cracked tree branches. Other affected states include Iowa, Kansas, northern Illinois, and southern Wisconsin. Current conditions are touted as the largest power outage in Oklahoma's history.
