SUCCUSUNNA, N.J./EWORLDWIRE/April 18, 2008 --- While most college students are peering past Spring semester finals to the warmth of upcoming Summer months, County College of Morris (CCM) student Christina Allanson has set her sights further forward to September and to her transition to Centenary College. Scheduled to graduate from CCM in August, Allanson has demonstrated her potential for academic success with solid Dean's list ranking throughout her pursuit of a new media technology degree, and for her chosen future professional endeavors with her experience in a Spring internship at World Internet Marketing Inc.While Allanson is recognized on the CCM campus for having received the Joseph Sauder Media Memorial Award last Fall, she has quite literally been dancing her way along the college curriculum while participating in local comptetitions as an Irish Step Dancer. Her talent has resulted in achieving Preliminary Championship Level Irish Step Dancer, and her accomplishments include local competitions such as the Regional Championship in November, 2007.
Somehow Allanson also finds time in her hectic schedule to maintain her job as a student assistant at a dance school, working with dancers from the ages of 4 to 40-something. she is planning to take the TCRG exam (teacher certification) when she finishes dancing competitively.
When thinking about her future, Allanson shares her thoughts about her education and the potential career directions she will be considering. "I am passionate about visual aesthetics - from sewing and fashion design to graphic and Web design," stated Allanson. "My love of colors and textures drove me to learn sewing on my own - along with creations in Silkstone Barbie doll clothing, I design custom Irish dancing dresses." Allanson uses a personal blog (sewcrazy4fashion.wordpress.com) to document sewing projects.
"I am especially optimistic about my prospects for employment because of the depth and breadth of my hands-on experience at World Internet Marketing," added Allanson. "I've learned that it's still early enough in my studies to get focused, and I've learned just how much more there is to learn."
