    SOUTH 2008: Drugs And The Americas: Challenges And Global Impact, Hosted By AFCEA

    Conference and Exposition Held in Miami October 7-9

    FAIRFAX, Va./EWORLDWIRE/Oct. 1, 2008 --- AFCEA International and the U.S. Southern Command will host SOUTH 2008: "Drugs and the Americas: What Are the Challenges and the Global Impact," October 7-9 at the Miami Mart Airport Hotel. Focusing on the critical issues surrounding drugs and the Americas, the conference and exposition brings together the subject matter experts from military, government and industry in an effort to call attention to the problems and initiate solutions.

    Five panel sessions will focus on Narco-Trafficking:

    . How Do We Promote Public-Private Partnerships to Win the Counter Narco-Trafficking Fight

    Moderators and panelists include representatives from U.S. Southern Command, Department of Homeland Security, Drug Enforcement Administration, Department of Defense, Department of State, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Maritime Analysis and Operations Center - Narcotics, Booz Allen Hamilton, Gryphon Technologies, L-1 Identity Solutions, Maersk Lines, and United Parcel Service.

    In addition, these keynote speakers will share their perspectives and take attendees' questions:
