Two panel sessions will focus on breaking down network barriers. Strategic Reposturing Initiatives, specifically how to break the barriers between information sharing and network security, will be covered in the C4 panel session. The Intelligence Panel will discuss Global War on Terror activities, specifically relating how the Intelligence Community and Special Operations Forces have flattened networks to better target terrorist organizations and pathways. Additionally, the IT Challenge to Industry session, led by U.S. Special Operations Command and U.S. Central Command representatives, will address both the need for IT companies to invest in research and development projects that apply to Special Operations mission areas, as well as the IT challenges of operating in a satellite-based environment.
The conference will also feature four professional development seminars: Global Surveillance Challenges: Impact on Analytic Tools, Training and Tradecraft Global Surveillance Challenges: Impact on the Enterprise Biometrics: Policy, Plans and Enterprise Infrastructure and Web 2.0 - Challenges and Promises for Information Sharing. Led by subject matter experts, these sessions will provide attendees with a deeper look at issues involved in the war on terrorism. In addition, a Small Business Workshop will review the initiatives and outsourcing trends employed by the military services to satisfy their technology requirements.
TechNet Tampa will also feature the AFCEA and MacDill Air Force Base Airmen and Family Readiness Center job fair. More than 55 companies will be available on Thursday, March 5 to accept resumes and conduct on-site interviews. In addition, the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) "Marketing Yourself for a Second Career " seminar on Wednesday, March 4, will introduce military and government employees to the civilian job market. MOAA will also present four financial seminars at TechNet Tampa: Evaluating Employee Benefits Military and Financial Benefits Update How to Pay for College and the Four Pillars of Successful Retirement.
