FAIRFAX, Va./EWORLDWIRE/May 1, 2009 --- AFCEA International is proud to continue its SOLUTIONS Series of events in 2009 at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne, Va. The first in the series will take place May 19-20 and is focused on Inter-Agency, Allied and Coalition Information Sharing. The conference is sponsored by AFCEA International in cooperation with U.S. Northern Command.The AFCEA SOLUTIONS Series promotes a detailed dialogue between government and industry on issues of national importance. The 2009 series of events consists of:

The Inter-Agency, Allied and Coalition Information Sharing conference contains three track sessions wherein government can share current thinking and direction, and industry can offer their perspective and input on current and projected capability. Track sessions will address inter-agency domestic information sharing; allied and coalition partner information sharing; and critical issues in C4I. New to the event, the Critical Issues in C4I academic track is sponsored by the George Mason University C4I Center of Excellence. This track will focus on the following selected set of issues:
. Service Oriented Architectures for C2
. Capabilities embedded in C2 Systems
. Data Interoperability for C2 Systems
Track speakers for all sessions include government, military and industry information sharing experts.

AFCEA is leveraging online tools to help facilitate communication and collaboration before, during and after the events. A Wiki is available as an information repository; a Google Group discussion site facilitates ongoing dialogue; and live streaming video and podcasts will allow those not able to attend in person to participate online.
