ATLANTA/EWORLDWIRE/June 3, 2009 --- The National Society of High School Scholars Foundation today announced the ten outstanding young scholars who have each been awarded a $1,000 college scholarship to pursue college majors and careers in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) through a grant from Monster Worldwide.The NSHSS Foundation and Monster Worldwide recognize the need to produce more graduates with knowledge and skills in the STEM disciplines in order to meet the competitive challenges of the technology-driven global economy of the 21st century. They are committed to this effort to steer students to become qualified workers in these areas in order to improve the quality of life for all.
These ten Monster Scholars represent key Monster communities throughout the United States:
