About NH02D Program for the Treatment of Premature Ejaculation

NH02D is a neurologically active, orally administered drug that is being developed for on-demand treatment of premature ejaculation. During testing of NH02D in healthy volunteers for another indication, the drug was unexpectedly reported to delay ejaculation during sexual activity. Subsequently, the effectiveness of NH02D has been demonstrated in a validated animal model of premature ejaculation in collaboration with Dr. Lesley Marson at the University of North Carolina.

Premature ejaculation is the most prevalent male sexual disorder affecting up to 30 percent of sexually active men and is even more prevalent than erectile dysfunction (a $3.8 billion market in 2008). Currently, there are no FDA-approved products available for the treatment of this disorder in the United States.
