Medical Products Companies Agree to Continue Operations as Independent Entities

PORTLAND, Maine/EWORLDWIRE/March 10, 2005 --- Lighthouse Imaging Corporation and Viking Systems Inc. have agreed to terminate an agreement under which Lighthouse Imaging would sell its assets to Viking Systems. The companies will continue to act as independent entities and collaborate on research and development projects that bring advanced optics and imaging to surgical vision systems.

Lighthouse Imaging was founded in 1984 by Dr. Dennis Leiner, its president. The company manufactures a variety of optical products used in instruments considered standard of care in medicine today. Its endoscope measurement products are used to evaluate many of the endoscopes sold by major manufacturers in the United States, Europe and China. Lighthouse will continue to develop and manufacture new products for its customers and will retain all of its employees.
