The new offering allows businesses a simple transition by providing an office suite that end-users are familiar with. Although the company's position is that OpenOffice.org is an excellent Office Suite, it admits that there is hesitation from many companies. By offering the Microsoft Office suite, the company feels that businesses will transition with familiar tools. Companies that currently have licensed copies of Microsoft Office will have the ability to purchase the special edition product without Microsoft Office included.
