Sturge-Weber Foundation To Hold A Mardi Party February 11, 2006

Media Advisory

MT. FREEDOM, N.J./EWORLDWIRE/Dec. 8, 2005 --- The Sturge-Weber Foundation's second annual Mardi Party will be held Saturday evening, February 11, 2006 at the Parsippany Hilton. The party is designed to bring a bit of old New Orleans festivities to New Jersey while benefitting the work of the Foundation.

The Sturge-Weber Foundation provides education and friendly support to families and individuals coping with Sturge-Weber syndrome (SWS), Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome (KTS) and Port Wine Stain (PWS) conditions, all rare neurological disorders.

Committee members are Nancy Cupo, Lisa Heller-Devore and Theresa Maughn of Randolph, and Mary Going and Susan Corbo of Succasunna.

The Mardi Party will feature a costume parade, food and drink, dancing and a silent auction. In the spirit of the New Orleans Mardi Gras celebration, there will be a photo display of SWF members in the Gulf Coast area who have had to contend with this past season's storms while continuing to cope with their on-going medical concerns.

Sturge-Weber syndrome is a rare neurological disorder that affects the brain, eyes and skin. In recent years, the Foundation has responded to an increased number of requests for information and assistance because of exposure on the Internet.

Opportunities are available for local and corporate sponsorship and silent auction donations.

The Foundation can be reached at 800 627-5482 or swf@sturge-weber.com.
