ELLICOTT CITY, Md./EWORLDWIRE/May 10, 2006 --- Claes Nobel, senior member of the Nobel Prize family and founder of The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS), will present a National Scholar Award to Maryland high school student Jennifer Chao at a special recognition ceremony on May 13, 2006, in the U.S. Dirksen Senate Building in Washington, D.C. NSHSS will honor outstanding students and educators during the program. Chao, a senior at Mt. Hebron High School, was selected for the award from over 10,000 applicants. A talented musician, she will perform a violin solo at the ceremony. Chao will attend Ohio State University in the fall. Nobel stated, "I am deeply honored to recognize Jennifer as one of the United States’ most outstanding students."
