MIAMI/EWORLDWIRE/July 5, 2006 --- Job News, the nation’s fastest growing recruitment Web and weekly publication today announced it opened its 20th market, Miami, Fla. This is the third publication in South Florida, where the company already has dedicated operations in Ft. Lauderdale and Palm Beach. The first issue of the Miami publication was distributed on July 3. 
Job News has promoted Jim Nolan from general manager of the Ft. Lauderdale and Palm Beach offices to district manager of South Florida and hired Omar Rodriguez as general manager of the new Miami operation.
“Our mission is to serve the Miami Market by connecting the right local employees with good local jobs. We felt that the option of simply expanding the distribution of our Ft. Lauderdale publication into Miami would fall short of this goal," said Nolan. "Therefore we have committed our resources and energy to making our Miami operation second to none. Like Job News publications in all other markets, the Miami publication will be distributed every Monday. The publication is being distributed in more than 1,200 locations throughout Miami Dade County, including Sedano’s Markets, Winn Dixie and K-Mart and is free to job seekers.
In coordination with the announcement of the new market, Job News has opened a new employment Web site, www.JobNewsSouthFlorida.com, to address the job openings in all three South Florida Markets. The Web site will have all of the jobs listed in the three South Florida market employment publications and more.
“While the site is new, the platform is not. The site uses the same proprietary platform we are using currently in 17 other markets. The platform is tested and proven to be extremely effective, popular and user friendly," said Shannon Evans, regional vice-president of Job News.
Nolan added, “We delayed launching the Web product into South Florida until we opened the Miami market. While we view Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami as independent markets, we realize they overlap. With the Web site, a job seeker can search by zip code. It makes more sense for the jobseekers in Miramar, who might be interested in jobs in either Miami or Ft. Lauderdale, or the jobseekers in Boca Raton who could work in Palm Beach or Ft. Lauderdale to find all our South Florida job opportunities on one Web site.”
Job News also has plans to host three job fairs in South Florida in the third-quarter, in partnership with Clear Channel Radio. The first event will be on July 25, in Boca Raton. A September 13, event will take place in Ft. Lauderdale, and a third event is being scheduled in Miami for late August.
