As 2006 Grand Champion of light aircraft category at Air Venture Oshkosh, this quality-fabricated piece of machinery was judged by the Experimental Aircraft Association, Inc. (EAA) which found the Ridge Runner III the best in versatility, creativity and performance.

The Ridge Runner design sported a tandem two-seater with a tube and fabric construction. A key feature, the quick-fold, high wing design, allows the wings to be folded back without disconnecting any controls, so it can readily be stored in a garage or a shared hangar and returned to flight readiness in minutes.

The Ridge Runner also boasts some of the best STOL performances in the industry. With take-off and landing rolls of between 50 and 100 feet and stall speeds of 26 to 28 mph, the Ridge Runner can land in some pretty tight places.

The Ridge Runner III is available as a Special Light Sport Aircraft (S-LSA), Experimental Light Sport Aircraft (E-LSA) or as a kit. The S-LSA model comes with a Rotax 912 engine, Ward Drive propeller and basic VFR functionality. Manufactured in Nampa, Idaho, planes from have also won Grand Champion at the EAA Arlington Fly-in and Oshkosh in previous years.
