Oct. 19: Voting Begins for 1st Annual Wave Awards Honoring Mobile Content, Courtesy The Academy Of Wireless Arts, Video And Entertainment
All 200 million U.S. mobile phone users eligible to vote for 120 nominees in twenty-five categories

EASTON, Pa./EWORLDWIRE/Oct. 15, 2007 --- Nominations for the 1st Annual Wave Awards (TM) were announced today by Academy of Wireless Arts, Video and Entertainment Executive Director Christopher "Kip" Hartman.The Wave Awards is the first and only program to recognize and celebrate individuals and organizations whose contributions to the mobile entertainment industry are deemed to be outstanding, as judged by the general public.
Academy members selected up to five nominees in each of twenty-five categories covering made-for-mobile content, video clipped from broadcast television, games, music and technology.
Voting will be open to the public at 'http://www.TheWaveAwards.com' starting Friday, October 19. Wave Awards are tentatively scheduled to be presented at the Landmark Theatre in West Los Angeles on Tuesday, January 15, 2008.
