SEVIERVILLE, Tenn./EWORLDWIRE/July 7, 2008 --- Mountain National Bancshares Inc. (OTCBB: MNBT) (the Company) today announced that its Board of Directors has authorized an expansion of the Company's current share repurchase program. Under this expansion, an additional $300,000 in repurchases of Company common stock has been approved, over and above the initial $500,000 authorization, and the expiration date of the current repurchase program has been extended to June 27, 2009. The stock repurchases are expected to be accomplished in private or open-market purchases. The timing of repurchases and the number of shares of common stock to be purchased and the price at which those shares will be purchased are dependent upon prevailing market conditions, share price, and other factors.
