FAIRFIELD, Conn./EWORLDWIRE/July 29, 2008 --- CancerCare of Connecticut is getting a lift from Massage Envy of Fairfield's clients laying down during Massage Envy's first anniversary, day-long event which gathered $1,000 from Massage Envy clients and community members. While enjoying refreshments and raffle prize drawings, everyone had a chance to learn about and support CancerCare, a non-profit organization that provides free support services to cancer patients and their families.

All those making donations to CancerCare received a t-shirt that read, "Healing Fairfield One Massage at a Time." The focus of the event was to educate the public about the healing power of touch and its special importance for those dealing with cancer. Fittingly, the grand prize in the raffle drawing, a six-month Massage Envy membership, was won by Karen Watts, a cancer survivor.

Among the other prizes - many of which were donated by local businesses - were two bottles of wine from Giovana's Wine and Spirits, a haircut and blow dry from Trendsetters, dinners for two from Rye Ridge Deli and gift basket from Miller's Hallmark.
