MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C./EWORLDWIRE/Dec. 4, 2008 --- The new Internet mega site McBidz.com ('http://www.McBidz.com') plans to seek a government bailout of at least 100 million dollars, according to President/CEO Charles McCracken. Says McCracken, "With the faltering economy and planned launch of the new Internet destination in the coming months, there is an obvious need for immediate government assistance to make sure McBidz doesn't get into financial hardship.""Our member McBidzers deserve to be treated equally as well as the Wall Street fat cats and inept automakers who made very bad decisions and who expect taxpayers to bail them out of their own wrongdoing," McCracken says. "For those who question if McBidz is not too big to fail, our thousands of McBidzers across the country would beg to differ." Citing the long list of bailout recipients who include Bear Stearns , Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, American International Group (AIG), Emergency Economic Stabilization Act, and Citigroup with surely more to be added to the long list McCracken believes the company is in a strong position to request such help from the government.
McBidz Inc. also operates a subsidiary company, MobileCharging.com ('http://www.mobilecharging.com'), which is working with its partners to develop an electric vehicle (EV) fast charger. The charger is aimed at building the United States' infrastructure in preparation for the new line of electric vehicles which will be available to the public starting in 2010. Mobile Charging will seek to provide mobile charging services to electric vehicle owners on a mobile platform in which Mobile Charging will come to the customer and charge their EVs.
"Since the McBidz Corporation business model actually benefits the public, the bailout in this case actually makes sense," adds McCracken. "While the initial request is for 100 million the actual number may be much higher due to competition and the continued decline of the economy.
"When I go to the capital to request funding I will not be flying a private jet."
