MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C./EWORLDWIRE/Dec. 30, 2008 --- The largest mega site on the Internet in development for over a year is planning to launch soon and has announced its goal of attracting five million members, called McBidzers, by early 2010. McBidz.com ('http://www.McBidz.com'), which started off as an auction site three years ago, went down for programming almost a year ago has been redeveloped from the ground up so its McBidzers can use all of the popular programs on the Internet without leaving the Web site. McBidz contains activities for video-sharing - "McVidz," Business, Jobs, Wanted, Auctions, Classifieds, Autos, Real Estate, Greeting Cards, Dating, Classmates, Photo Album, and social network "McBidzers." The new McBidz was built around the foundation of a self-contained, member-driven Web site where its members can do everything from business to social activities without having to go all over the Internet; in effect a city within itself.
When the original McBidz launched three years ago, in just a handful of months it had accumulated more than 3,600 members, mostly through word of mouth and Buzz which spread like wildfire over the Internet. Members who used the McBidz Web site first named themselves McBidzers at the site's popular forum section. The original McBidz went down for reprogramming, transforming to an Internet mega-site exclusively for its dedicated McBidzers. To recognize its loyal following, the McBidz social network was named after its members and is called McBidzers ('http://www.mcbidz.com/mcbidzers/').
A tour up and down the East Coast is designed to get the word out about the new McBidz and will involve Chuckster, the official mascot of the McBidz Web site. A top secret guerilla advertising campaign will be launched in a major city on the official launch day of the McBidz Web site.
