NeuroHealing Appoints David Gwynne, Vice President Business Development

Initial Focus On NH02D Program For The Treatment Of Premature Ejaculation

For Immediate Release

NEWTON, Mass./EWORLDWIRE/Feb. 2, 2009 --- NeuroHealing Pharmaceuticals, a private, clinical stage company developing innovative drug treatments for specialty indications based on repositioning neurologically active compounds, today announced the appointment of David Gwynne, Ph.D. as vice president, business development, responsible for NeuroHealing's NH02D program for the treatment of premature ejaculation.

Dr. Gwynne has worked in the biopharmaceutical industry since 1984, holding positions in both research and development (R&D), and business development. He led R&D teams at Allelix Biopharmaceuticals and at Cambridge NeuroScience. In addition, Dr. Gwynne held senior business development positions at Cambridge NeuroScience, CeNeS, Cita Pharmaceuticals and was vice president of business development at Indevus Pharmaceuticals, where he completed four corporate licensing deals. Dr. Gwynne has experience in several therapeutic areas with emphasis on CNS disorders and urology. Dr. Gwynne received his Ph.D. from McGill University.

"We are very pleased to welcome David Gwynne to NeuroHealing. David most recently led efforts at Indevus in the evaluation of urology business opportunities and successfully led in the consolidation of their pipeline through the out-licensing of non-core assets. David has executed or led 15 major corporate business deals in his numerous business development roles. His leadership in the management and business development of the NH02D program will be invaluable to our corporate strategy," commented Neal M. Farber, Ph.D., CEO of NeuroHealing.

Dr. Gwynne added, "I am delighted to be working with the NeuroHealing team and look forward to advancing the NH02D program through a partnership or an equity investment."

About NH02D Program for the Treatment of Premature Ejaculation

NH02D is a neurologically active, orally administered drug that is being developed for on-demand treatment of premature ejaculation. Based on clinical observations in healthy volunteers, NH02D was reported to delay ejaculation during sexual activity. In addition, NeuroHealing recently demonstrated the effectiveness of NH02D in a validated animal model of premature ejaculation. The animal study was conducted in collaboration with Dr. Lesley Marson at the University of North Carolina, who will be presenting the results at the annual American Urology Association meeting in Chicago in April, 2009.

Premature ejaculation (PE) is the most prevalent male sexual disorder affecting 20-30 percent of sexually active men and is even more prevalent than erectile dysfunction. Currently, there are no clinically proven products available for the treatment of PE in the United States or Europe. The market for PE drugs is estimated to be at least as large as the erectile dysfunction market, which was $3.4 billion in 2007.
