MENLO PARK, Calif./EWORLDWIRE/June 22, 2009 --- Silicon Valley innovator, innovation practitioner and consultant Josh Abend was invited to participate at the Innovation Summit Conference hosted by the President's Council on U.S. Competitiveness on Tuesday, June 23, 2009.

As a specialist in developing corporate innovation systems, Abend was recently awarded a U.S. patent for Innovation Engines (TM), a software system for organizations of any size which integrates every aspect of innovation - from concept, to measurement and opportunity mapping.

Abend has directed his support towards promoting a new executive function of Chief Innovation Officer.
