NEW YORK/EWORLDWIRE/Aug. 6, 2009 --- Today Voxel, the global leader in Internet infrastructure services including managed hosting, content delivery and cloud computing, announced agreements with Beijing-based Candis Group LTD and Shinetech Software Inc. for use of its cloud computing and content delivery network (CDN) services in Asia. After going live with its first Asian Point of Presence (POP) in Singapore in May 2009, Voxel pursued an Asian client acquisition strategy that first targeted companies that offer services in the technology outsourcing market. Candis Group, which provides IT management and business outsourcing for global companies operating in China, and Shinetech Software, a software development outsourcing provider, fall within this natural audience for Voxel, as both work with U.S. and European clients and can benefit from the global on-demand hybrid cloud, CDN and dedicated hosting services Voxel provides.

According to David van Meerendonk, vice president and sales director of CANDIS, the partnership with Voxel as its infrastructure partner will be extremely valuable to bring the company's "gateway to China" products and services to a global audience. CANDIS will immediately leverage dedicated and virtual servers via Voxel's Hosting API, which allows companies to easily access all Voxel hosting offerings via a standards-based API.
Similarly, Shinetech Software's development teams will utilize Voxel's on-demand cloud to host software projects close to China and then migrate the infrastructure to Voxel's European or U.S. nodes as the projects move into production. Shinetech's Chief Technology Officer Frank Zhang believes Voxel's ability to provide a seamless experience to both Shinetech's engineer team and its customers will provide tremendous value.
In May 2009, following its success in the United States and Europe with on-demand computing and delivery products, Voxel launched the Asian node of its VoxCAST CDN and private cloud computing beta in Singapore. The company will launch its cloud service publicly on at least two continents in mid-August.
