For Immediate Release

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif./EWORLDWIRE/Oct. 30, 2009 --- Healthful vegan lifestyles and environmental issues are the main focus, both in the movie and on the set, of a feature film scheduled to begin shooting in early 2010.

"World's Littlest Brat," a comedy written and directed by Kathy Kolla of Cola Kat Productions in Los Angeles, features a lovable vegan outcast who stays true to himself despite his negative surroundings.

As part of the current project, Kolla is furthering her commitment to environmental sustainability by instituting a green set. In addition, Kolla will provide her cast and crew with abundant organic, vegan meal options.

"I've been finding that as our society is becoming more health-oriented, people in and out of the film industry are making conscious decisions about what products they consume," said Kolla, who's been a vegan for more than ten years.

For that reason, Cola Kat Productions has partnered with several makers of healthy-living products. GT's Kombucha, makers of Synergy Drinks, has generously donated organic, raw, kombucha beverages. Another popular supermarket staple, Amy's Organic Kitchen, has also agreed to donate healthy fare.

On the environmental side, Kolla decided to find an alternative to wasteful plastic water bottles, and thanks to Glacia Icebox, the cast and crew's water supply will come from bio-degradable, 100 percent recyclable boxes. All tableware used on set, supplied by Eco Products Inc., is made from a corn-derived polymer, which is compostable when properly disposed of.

"It's great to find forward-looking companies that share your vision," Kolla said. "We've come a long way since even five years ago."

This is the second film for Kolla, who began her career as an actress, appearing on such shows as Arrested Development. Her first film, a short comedy about a woman taking control of her chaotic life, was well received throughout the international film festival circuit. To date it has won awards for both "Short Film" and "Direction" at the Accolade Film Awards, "Audience Choice" at the Flint Film Festival in Flint, Mich., and is nominated for "Best First Film" at the International Film Festival South Africa.

Future screenings include the New Filmmakers Film Series in New York City and the International Film Festival Thailand.

Kolla will be available for interviews and photo opportunities beginning November 2, 2009.
