Oct. 26: Friars' Club Comedy Film Fest to Screen Award-Winning Short, Foodie

With New York kickoff, "Foodie" to Play Three Major Festivals in Three Weeks

Media Advisory

NEW YORK /EWORLDWIRE/Oct. 22, 2012 --- Aaron Rudelson, son of actress Lelia Goldoni, is making waves with his hilariously unique short film, FOODIE.

FOODIE has already won three awards and was nominated for BEST COMEDY SHORT at the Central Florida Film Festival.

Fresh Film News has called Rudelson's film "a totally original concept"; Laugh Track's Evan Nix says FOODIE is a "hilarious short film."

It's the story about a man that reluctantly agrees to help a friend claiming he's experiencing a supernatural digestive condition. In the process, he makes a startling discovery which could forever transform the world as it's known.

Rudelson is an emerging new talent in the independent film world. He wrote, directed, acted in and edited the project. Rudelson attributes FOODIE'S success to a script which keeps its audiences guessing. "Even in the current environment, it's still possible to engage an audience with even very limited resources," says Rudelson, "As long as you can show your audience something they haven't seen before, you don't need huge budgets."

Rudelson graduated from Columbia University's MFA film program with a Milos Forman Award. He has indie film in his genes. His mother starred in Cassavetes' first film, SHADOWS, and his father was a screenwriter known
for Russ Meyer's VIXEN, among others. He is currently developing his first comedic feature film with Slew Pictures Inc. (FACE, ALMOST PERFECT).

An online or DVD screener is available upon request by contacting Savant Films at 917-279-8272, and a trailer is viewable at https://vimeo.com/45358880.
