ANNAPOLIS JUNCTION, Md./EWORLDWIRE/Jan. 15, 2013 --- Government Employee Benefits Association (GEBA) announces that Tom Alpaugh has joined its 2013 Board for a three-year term.

Alpaugh was elected to the Board by GEBA's membership in the 2013 elections. With a financial background, he has served in various auditing, accounting and finance roles both in private industry and in the government for over 18 years. He has held various leadership roles as an active duty and reserve Navy Cryptologist for over 28 years. He holds an M.B.A. from Villanova University and a B.S. from Widener University, and is a graduate of the Navy's Senior Enlisted Academy.

"Helping to ensure GEBA's financial stability through sound financial decisions is a priority of mine," said Alpaugh. "We are fortunate to have Tom join the GEBA Board of Directors. His insights and advice have proven invaluable to the Finance Committee over the past five years as an advisor," said Michele Rackey, executive director, GEBA.

Alpaugh will serve on the GEBA Board Finance Committee. He joins nine other Board members. GEBA's Board members volunteer their time to provide strategic and financial oversight to the GEBA organization.
